greensource Cincinnati receives Cincinnati Preservation Award

photo-3greensource Cincinnati was awarded the 2013 Sustainability Award from Cincinnati Preservation for the renovation of our building located at 19 East 8th Street, downtown, Sunday evening at the Cincinnati Preservation’s Annual Meeting.  The Sustainability Award honors major improvements in the energy efficiency of a historic building, while preserving its architectural character.

greensource Cincinnati renovated an 1875 brick townhouse to LEED Platinum standards as a showcase for green technology.  The first historic downtown building to be so honored.

Cincinnati Preservation Association is a not-for-profit organization that serves the Greater Cincinnati community as the recognized resource and catalyst for the preservation of historic cultural resources such as architecturally significant buildings, archaeological sites, historic public art and monuments and landscapes. This is accomplished through education, advocacy, and technical support.
